Audiotour International Department

The collection of the International Department was enriched with children’s works from more than 130 countries of the world. We got these artworks by the Ministry of Education and Science RA, Ministry of Culture and by the Committee of cultural relations with foreign countries. In 1980 during the Olympic Games an international exhibition of children’s art was organized in Moscow the director of which was Henry Igityan. After the exhibition the best paintings were delivered to Armenian Children’s art museum as it was the only place where these paintings could be displayed. The paintings of English children were presented to the museum by the former Prime minister of the Great Britain Harold Wilson during his visit to the Soviet Union in 1976. Spanish children’s paintings were presented to us by the Ambassador of Spain to the SU. The collection is refreshed sometimes with the help of delegations from foreign countries.
