The route "Temples of the Priozersky district" is the most famous and popular among tourists visiting our area. Traveling along it is beautiful at any time of the year and especially beneficial during the days of solemn services in temples. The main part of the journey passes along the picturesque Sapernoye-Melnikovo road, along which the Vuoksa River flows and chains of lakes stand out from it. On this journey you will get acquainted with the traditions of northern church architecture, carefully preserved by modern architects. Route objects are mainly built in our time. However, they have their own amazing story. They are unique because the choice of the place of their construction was not accidental, and the image arose in the souls of priests - our contemporaries, who of course saw the masterpieces of church Orthodox architecture, but were not afraid to build their temples. And divine providence helped these architectural ensembles to become an adornment of the Priozersk Territory and true cultural centers.

The length of the route is 34 kilometers. The journey begins in the village of Losevo, and ends with the beautiful church of the famous Finnish architect J. Stenbek in the village of Melnikovo (the old name is Ryaysyalya).

For cars and bus the route is all-weather. The duration of this tour is 3.5 hours.

For lovers of cycling and hiking, we recommend the time from April to October, when daylight hours are long enough and there is not much rainfall and other weather vagaries. Cycling time is 7 hours. Pedestrians on the route will need 2 full days. There is also a water route. It begins in Losevo and ends in Melnikovo. By the waterway, you can see the beautiful Vuoksela church and look at the nature of the Karelian Isthmus and the architecture from the water. In this case, a water trip will take 2 days.
