On the former battlefield of Overloon is the largest war museum in the Netherlands! During your visit, you can reflect on The Second World War, the Resistance, D-Day and also the liberation.

The War Museum Overloon shows you in an interactive way the impact of the Second World War and how it affected very ordinary people. In this exhibition 'Netherlands in the Second World War,' you dive back into time and become part of eight personal stories. What would you do? Wait and see, cooperate? Or resist?

In the giant military hall, there are more than 150 armoured military machines and planes, whilst on your journey in the museum it’s not about looking forward quickly, but taking time to engage, understand and that is a good thing because freedom is not self-evident, everyone should think about that more often. In short; War belongs in a museum!
