Osh Bazaar, one of the region’s oldest marketplaces, represents the trading legacy of the Silk Road. For more than 2,000 years, traders converged here from across the continent. Come and you can still feel the unique blend of cultures and humanity as you wander its alleys — flush with fresh produce, spices, nuts, dried fruit, local textiles, traditional clothing, handicrafts, and much more. Show your curiosity and you’ll be treated to smiles and an opportunity to taste before you buy. The market is huge, so don’t be surprised if you get lost a few times. That’s half the fun of the visit, as vendors and buyers alike will happily help you find your way.

Following a free city walking tour by non-profit touristic org 'Destination Osh', this self-paced tour centered around a visit to a traditional market and provided context behind the history of Osh, Jayma market and it's importance to local trade in Osh and the Silk Road. The 1.5-hour tour directed me thru highlighted attractions and vendors of the market, and was filled with humor and nuances making my visit to Osh that much more enjoyable. Awesome tour experience - thanks #destinationosh
