Audiotour Following the Declaration of Independence of May 4, 1990

We invite you to get to know the date of May 4, 1990, which is so important for the Republic of Latvia, on a audioguided walk.
This year marks 32 years since the Supreme Soviet of the Latvian SSR adopted the Declaration "On the Restoration of Independence of the Republic of Latvia", also known as the Declaration of Independence of May 4, 1990.
Dainis Īvāns, the first Chairman of the LPopular Front of Latvia, has said, "May 4 is the main value of the regained Latvia. Despite the fact that no seer could promise us what would happen next and how it would happen next. May 4 is not the past, but the future, towards which we are still moving. Freedom is not a gift."
