Audiotour Ancient city of Ephesus

While many experienced tourists can point to Pompeii in Italy as an ancient city to walk through, there is another similar place in Turkey – the city of Ephesus. The pearl of the eastern Mediterranean, it is an excellent demonstration of the ostentatious wealth of Roman settlements on the shores of Asia Minor. While Pompeii was built mainly of brick, Ephesus used the best and most expensive building materials, including many variations of marble.

These places remember Herodotus, who wrote his "History" here, King Croesus, Alexander the Great, Hannibal, Julius Caesar, Mark Anthony, Cleopatra and the Apostle Paul, who preached the Gospel here.
