Making the Future - Women in the Archives
Women in the Archives is a community engagement programme aiming to uncover hidden female voices from the past. The programme is led by the Public Record Office of Northern Ireland (PRONI) and the Linen Hall Library, and is one of the strands of the Making the Future project.
Making the Future is a multi-strand programme using archive and museum collections to explore the past and create a powerful vision for the future, supported by the European Union’s PEACE IV Programme and managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB)
It brings together leading cultural organisations including The Public Record Office of Northern Ireland (PRONI), The Linen Hall Library, National Museums NI and the Nerve Centre who are leading the project. It is supported by €1.82m of EU funding under the PEACE IV programme, managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB).
Participants from different communities, cultural and religious backgrounds will have multiple opportunities to get involved, to have their voices heard, to tell stories relevant to their lives, and to be creative and gain new skills.
