博物馆 Mo.C.A. Montecatini Contemporay Art

Mo.C.A. is the Civic Gallery, dedicated to contemporary art, of Montecatini Terme. The exhibition space was born on 4 December 2012 in an exceptional place for its beauty and historical and cultural importance: the twentieth-century City Hall. The occasion allowed for the restoration of the marvellous space, destined until 2007 to be used as a post office; this original function is recounted by the cycle of stained glass windows by Galileo Chini, all of which are based on the theme of communication.
The first ever Civic Gallery for Montecatini Terme, this space has made it possible to give worthy accommodation to world-class works, including thework of art by Joan Mirò.
The commitment has also been to create an avant-garde space for the dissemination and understanding of multiple visual languages, through temporary exhibitions and the possibility of using a classroom to experience them first-hand.
Thanks to Mo.C.A., Montecatini is experiencing a new season of culture and fascination, and the keyword is: Contemporary Art.
