Welcome to our exhibit "Bells and Chimes". The Chamber, you are standing in, was built in the XVII century, and originally served as cold storage room. Blocks of ice cut from nearby the lake Nero was brought here to keep fish, meat and other supplies are required cold storage for long periods of time. Now these space is occupied by an exposition, where you will be graciously met by our attendant.
The "Bells and Chimes" exhibit is in three sections: the first you will see how bells are cast, then examples a formal collection of bells, and finally Church bells from different times and places.
We invite you to the first section located to the left side of the entrance, here we will show how bells are cast.

Очень жаль, что сегодня не было каталога по маленьким колокольчикам. Нам неизвестно их происхождение. А ещё жаль, что смотритель не сказала и не дала деревянную киянку, чтобы послушать звук колоколов. Только дома прослушали об экспозиции и узнали об этом. Посетителей почти не было.

Спасибо, содержательный текст по прекрасной экспозиции ( автор текста заслуживает самой высокой похвалы). Каровская прочла мастерски - и в правильном темпе, и с точными акцентами. Я отметила бы только некоторую ординарность голоса. Очень хотелось бы, чтобы посещение экспозиции "Колокола и колокольчики" можно было бы - хоть иногда - дополнить подъёмом на Ростовскую звонницу ( конечно, за умеренную плату). Поздравляю ростовских музейщиков с прекрасной работой и желаю благодарных экскурсантов!
