Cape genet
(Genetta tigrina)
The Cape genet is a graceful active predator. It lives in the tropical forests of Africa. It is nocturnal. During the day it stays in burrows and hollows. It climbs trees but it spends the most of time on the ground. It feeds on small animals (birds, rodents and insects) and tropical fruits. Twice a year the Cape genet gives birth to two to three youngsters.
