博物馆The Italian War History Museum | Castle of Rovereto

Welcome to the Italian War History Museum.

The museum is inside the Castle of Rovereto and dedicated to the history of war.

The first part of the exhibition looks at changes in warfare between the nineteenth century and the First World War through a large collection of artefacts, photographs, documents and eyewitness accounts.

The second part takes you into the castle, onto the terreplein and into the towers, where weapons from 1500 to 1700 are displayed.

The permanent exhibition is regularly accompanied by temporary exhibitions and photography exhibitions.

From May to October, you can visit the Artillery of the Great War section in the air-raid shelter in Piazza Podestà. The museum will soon have a new section about the history of war up to the Second World War.
