The skeleton of a young Tyrannosaurid found in the Gobi Desert by Mongolian Paleontological Expedition of the Academy of Sciences in 1948. Some specialists believe that this is a young Tarbosaurus, others place it in a separate genus Maleevosaurus, named in honour of paleontologist Eugene Maleev, an employee of the Paleontological Institute of the Academy of Sciences, who studied Tarbosaurus skeletons in the middle of the XXth century.
