From 1765 to 1783, American colonialists fought, in battles both physical and political, to have representation in the British Parliament.You may have heard the phrase “No taxation without representation.”That slogan was born from this part of American history.
Today, many of the historic sites relating to the Revolution are marked throughout the city along what is known as the FreedomTrail, in remembrance of those who demanded fair treatment from their government and eventually helped to catalyze the formation of the United States of America. We will be following this trail for most of our walk today.
