Ashtarak at Night. 1976 , oil on canvas, 100×80, family property
"Ashtarak at Night" work differs with its original effect of painting plastics and image harmony. The bottomless blue is disrupted in some places by the cold light of the moon, which silvery gleam spots shade the material-aerial mass, reflecting on the narrow surface of the river, making feel proudly the cuts of the rocks, the details of the vegetation and landscape disappearing in the depth of the dark. The color gamma of the blue mist complements the horizontal spot of the yellow-green small oval of the moon.
The plenary potential of the natural light consistent with the linear-aerial perspective rules of the nature conveys the warmness of sunny Armenia.
