EXPLORE BY VEHICLE OR BIKE
Exploring Detroit’s Belle Isle takes about 2.5 hours by vehicle/walkabout or by bike. Narrated by Detroit radio personality Dick Shafran, audio tracks and GPS guide and inform you on over 40 points of interest and introduce you to many recreational and cultural opportunities on the island.

OPTIONS FOR COMPLETING
• All - Follow all cues and paths to visit all Points Of Interest (POI) or:

• Split Day - Visit POIs in order presented. Discontinue at any point and resume another day.

• Car Tour - Stay in your vehicle and visit only what you can see from the road (about 70% of all POIs). Use the map. Manually play audio tracks that don't start automatically (see navigation tips below).

• Free Form - Visit any POI in any order. You may need to start audio manually for some POIs. Optionally, go back and select "Free Walking Mode" from the menu.

• Cultural Attraction Walkabout (1.5 miles) - Park at the Aquarium and walk to all POIs within walking distance (14-23, 44-47). Enter the Aquarium, Conservatory, and Dossin Museum while at each!

ISLAND ENTRY AND SPEED LIMITS
All motor vehicles require a state park license plate endorsement or day pass. Passes may be purchased at checkpoints just after crossing the bridge (not required for pedestrians and cyclists).

Speed limits are strictly enforced. Most roads are 20 or 25 mph. Please drive slowly and stay alert for pedestrians and cyclists.

NAVIGATION 
To start at the main bridge to the island - Tap Start before you reach the bridge.

To start at any other POI - Tap Start as you reach that POI.

Continue by following navigational audio cues and the path shown on the map. Both POI and navigation audio play automatically (navigation points are not displayed). Review navigation directions at the bottom of each description page.

Play audio in any order by selecting a POI on the Map, Itinerary, or Content list.

View associated text and media by selecting the POI title at the bottom of the screen. Don't see the correct title? Tap the 'audio bars' icon (ili) on the map while audio is playing.

View the Itinerary by tapping any blank space on the map. Windows - tap 'list' icon, bottom of screen.

"Bonus Tracks" are optional - They're visible on the map but you won't be guided directly to them.
