THE “SENTIERO DEL CASTELLO”

Running from Portole to Poggioni, this path owes its name to the remains of an ancient medieval castle found at Monte Castel Giudeo, where an educational nature trail is also located. Meandering its way through oak and black-pine woods, the path retraces part of the route of an old cobblestone road.
