Water tower “Raushen”

The most notable construction in the city which in a way has become it's business card is the tower of the sea water treatment centre (Wasserturm Rauschen). It is 25 m high. Designed by Otto Walter Kukuck in 1907 to1908 in the style of Neo-romanticism it was used to supply water from the Mill Pond springs. In 1978 it was decorated with the sundial (by the local painter and sculptor N. Frolov).
