Museo Young and Liberated | Eyewitnesses of World War II tell their stories

Here we present the online exhibition Young and Liberated | Eyewitnesses of World War II tell their stories in photographs, text and video (in Dutch).

Note that you can also visit this exhibition in the Rhenen City Museum and in the Woerden City museum.

The exhibition can be visited until September 1, 2020 in the Woerden City Museum (20 portraits) and the Rhenen City Museum (10 portraits). There will also be a traveling exhibition. The QR code presented with the traveling exhibition refers to this IZI.Travel environment. You can listen to the (Dutch) sound clips associated with the exhibition, as well as read the English translation of the texts via this app. The audiofragments are recorded using young people at the age of the persons interviewed at the time of the Liberation. 

In addition to the exhibition, there is also a mini documentary (approx. 12 minutes; see video on this page) and a long documentary (approx. 50 minutes) made around the interviews of Joop Alberts, Hans van Beeck Calkoen, Eef Hilgeman, Ardie and Juul van der Horst and Teun Jordaan.
