Public Matters and Pilipino Workers Center (PWC) produce Hidden Hi Fi, an arts, culture, and equitable development project that seeks to share the wonders of Historic Filipinotown with the rest of the world. For over a decade, the two organizations have collaborated to bring the stories of Historic Filipinotown and its residents to a broader audience, with the goal of creating greater public awareness of the contributions of Filipinx, Filipinx-Americans and immigrants to Los Angeles and the U.S.
Public Matters is a creative studio for civic engagement based in Los Angeles. A social enterprise that addresses the trust gap between institutions & agencies and historically marginalized neighborhoods & communities, it is engaged in collaborative, creative acts for public good.
Pilipino Workers Center (PWC)'s mission is to secure the dignity and safety of the Pilipinx community in Southern California and build labor leaders in the domestic worker industry.
