The InfoZone News Museum and exhibition space is located on the 4th floor of the Robert Hoag Rawlings Library in Pueblo, Colorado. and is an interactive news museum. The InfoZone News Museum's mission is to provide broader knowledge of news and information. The museum focuses on journalism, the First Amendment, historic news and current events that affect our world. The museum serves to promote the joy of reading and writing, to preserve and interpret the archives and artifacts of The Pueblo Chieftain and provide educational programs and exhibitions that enhance the Pueblo City-County Library District.
The InfoZone features a state-of-the-art 100-seat movie theater, touch-screen computer kiosks and exhibits that demonstrate how your local newspaper was produced before computers came along. Check out our working Linotype typesetting machine and meet Hoagie, our animatronic newsboy.
We also do fun things that kids of all age will enjoy, plus events are always free in the InfoZone!
There is a shared space on the 4th floor of the Rawlings Library branch that lends itself to featuring related exhibitions from the Special Collections and Museum Services department as well as other departments within the library. This space is utilized to bring visibility to these exhibits and create collaboration within the library district.
