About the museum

Welcome to the Garden of Archimedes, an interactive museum entirely dedicated to mathematics.

The Museum is divided into various independent sections.

Currently four sections can be visited.

Beyond the compass: the geometry of curves,
Pythagoras and his theorem,
A bridge over the Mediterranean: Leonardo Pisano, Arab science and the rebirth of Mathematics in the West,
Help nature: from Galileo’s Mechanics to everyday life.

Besides the exhibition sections, on request numerous workshop activities can be organised for groups.

The section described in this audio guide is entitled: “Pythagoras and his theorem” which you will find midway down the corridor on your left as you enter the Museum.
