About the museum

Welcome to the parish church of All Hallows by the Tower, the oldest church in the City of London. My name is Bertrand Olivier, the former Vicar of this Parish, and I am delighted to be able to guide you around almost two thousand years of history, prayer and worship.

The quickest way to enjoy this tour is to listen to the commentary at each stop. That will take about half an hour.

So - to begin the tour, let’s get you to the start position. This is directly beneath the great organ at the west end of the church. When you’re ready, just tap the ‘Next’ button, and we’ll show you the exact spot where you need to stand, and then the direction you need to face to get the most out of the commentary. We hope you enjoy your tour.

The nave of the church is accessible by wheelchair, with a slope at the main entrance on Byward Street and another via the Kitchen@Tower cafe entrance on the piazza. An accessible toilet is off the cafe corridor. The Undercroft (which includes Stops 2 to 5 of the audio tour) is not accessible.
