For enquiries call 4921 0392 or email lro@lakemac.nsw.gov.au
The Pelican Area Sustainable Neighbourhood Landcare site is made up of predominately sand hind-dune. It stretches from Grannys Pool to the surf club, with Blacksmiths Beach to the east and Swansea channel to the south.
To access the site, turn off the Pacific Highway at Gommera Street, Blacksmiths.
Turn right at the roundabout onto Ungala Road.
Take the first left off Ungala, and then the first right which will take you to the car park for Granny's pool.
The audio tour goes for around 20 - 30 minutes, but please take your time to enjoy yourself while here. There is no rush!
Ensure you are wearing enclosed, non-slip footwear and protective clothing. The route is taken mostly along established trails, with a short detour off track at one point. Please be careful of both yourself and the plants around you.
Thanks to Greg Wales, Karin Steers and Georgina for generously sharing their time and knowledge with us to create this tour of the Pelican Area Sustainable Neighbourhood Landcare site.
