This room contains sketches and monumental religious canvases made between the second half of the seventeenth century and the first half of the eighteenth century. Among them are the four large altarpieces from the Milanese church dedicated to Cosma and Damiano. They were among the first paintings to arrive in Brera at the beginning of the nineteenth century, just after the church was suppressed.
