AudiotourThe Hanging of the Auditore Family
On the Piazza della Signoria in 1412 we find a young florentin Noble, Ezio Auditore witness a public execution. His father Giovanni, a member of the Assassin’s Order, and his brothers Federico and Petruccio stand accused of treason against the City of Florence. Standing next to the three accused are Uberto Alberti, friend of the family, and Rodrigo Borgia, a member of the Templar Order.
Uberto, as the Galfonierie of Florence, decides the faith of the accused. He received evidence from Ezio, proving the innocence of the Auditore Family the day before. Uberto asks Giovanni if there is evidence against the crime they are accused of. Giovanni mentions the documents given to him by his son Ezio.
The Galfonierie denies the existence of any evidence. Rodrigo Borgia gives a signal to Uberto, revealing that they work together. Uberto orders the execution of the three members. The platform opens and the three accused are killed by hanging. Uberto spots Ezio in the crowd and orders his arrest. Ezio swears revenge and escapes.
